Abbotsford Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2007

As a coach for the Abbotsford Judo Club for the past thirty years, Tokue Suda has prepared a host of national champions and international competitors for successful performances.

Suda’s national medalists include the following: Stephanie Tsang, Chris Magnusson, Shane Rooney, Fred Jaskiewicz, Kimi Suda, George Jobb and Rebecca Pretious. During his tenure, more than 3,000 athletes have represented the City of Abbotsford, the province of BC and Canada.

As a builder, Sudo founded the Abbotsford Judo Club and later headed the expansion project which made the club the largest in Western Canada, boasting over 300 members.
