Abbotsford Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2003

Born in Abbotsford, Andrea Moody spent her early competitive swimming career with the Abbotsford Whalers and the Fraser Valley Spartans. She graduated from W.J. Mouat Secondary and swam collegiately for the University of Calgary.

Moody joined the Canadian national swim team in 1995. That year, she won a silver medal in the 4×100-metre freestyle relay and a bronze in the 50m freestyle at the Pan American Games in Mar del Plata, Argentina. She was a member of the Canadian 4x100m freestyle relay team which placed seventh at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. In 1997, Moody finished first in both the 50m and 100m freestyle events at the Canadian University Championships.
