Kelly LochbaumFootball - inducted in 2011Kelly played football for a total of 20 years beginning his career at W.J. Mouat Secondary. With several college football scholarship offers, Kelly decided to attend a college in California and then later enrolled at Northern Arizona University on an athletic scholarship. He played for the BC Lions from 1997-2000 as the starting middle linebacker with a highlight being a Grey Cup victory in 2000. Kelly left the Lions for the Calgary Stampeders in 2001 and helped them win a Grey Cup that year. He returned to the BC Lions from 2002 to 2005 and was team captain for all four years and once more played in the Grey Cup in 2004. Kelly is a local realtor but still enjoys working with kids and is currently the Junior football head coach at Robert Bateman Secondary and is instrumental in putting together football camps at the Abbotsford Recreation Centre. |
