Jane Swan

Jane Swan is a name synonymous with Track and Field in B.C. Jane served as Director, Secretary, and President of B.C. Athletics spanning over three decades. Jane was the ultimate organizer. She was a moving force in the Valley Royals Track and Field Club since its inception - fund raising; organizing local, national, and international track events; doing all the secretarial duties and generally keeping track of everything. Jane was a member of the B.C. Athletics Hall of Fame, a Freeman in the City of Abbotsford and was also inducted into the B.C. Sports Hall of Fame in 2005. It was a tremendous loss to this community when Jane died in March 2004.
